Operating Rules for use of Facilities
It is the intention that all members use the clubhouse and facilities with consideration and respect for other club members.
CLUB HOUSE
LIQUOR
No liquor will be consumed by any person who continues boating or skiing.
BOAT OPERATORS
SWIMMING
No swimming in ski lanes.

MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE (for the Constitution Sect. 9)
It is the intention that all members use the clubhouse and facilities with consideration and respect for other club members.
CLUB HOUSE
- No dogs allowed.
- Permission to use the clubhouse for private functions can be granted by the committee on application.
- Last people leaving are required to lock the clubhouse, and secure the chain.
- Every member is responsible for leaving the premises clean and tidy and disposing of their own rubbish.
- Breakages shall be replaced/repaired by the person concerned.
- Visitors may come three times before becoming members. Members are responsible for the behaviour of their visitors.
LIQUOR

BOAT OPERATORS
- All drivers and skiers must abide by Waipa District Council Bylaws and ski lane rules.
- All boats must carry club registration stickers with the current year's dates and this must be removed when the boat is sold.
- All take-offs shall be from the area between the clubhouse and the boat ramp.
- All drop-offs before the end of the tyre bank.
- Returning boats shall move over to the island, until ski lines are recovered.
- The minimum age of boat drivers is 15 years; the minimum age for observers is 12 years.
SWIMMING
No swimming in ski lanes.
BOAT LAUNCHING RAMP
- To be used by club members only.
- Ramps to be kept clear except for launching and recovering boats. Trailers must be parked in designated trailer park area.
SLALOM COURSE
- For the use of Piarere Ski Club members, and their visitors by permission, and subject to club course rules.
- Entry and departure from the clubhouse (North End) of the course only.
- Boats must not leave or enter the course, if slalom operating boat has commenced its run for the Arapuni (Southern) end.
- Don't queue jump. If a boat is operating, go in to shore first and take your turn.
- A "turn" when a queuing situation exists is 6 passes or such other number to which all skiers affected may agree.
- Take extra care not to foul slalom buoys with towlines. If you knock a buoy off, please replace it.
JUMP RAMP
- Club members have absolute priority to use the water ski jump. Non members can use the jump for $10.00 per day as a guest of a PWSC member, for a maximum of three days in any one financial year. The member being responsible for collecting and forwarding the fee to the treasurer at the first opportunity.
- All jumping skis to be inspected for sharp projections before jump is used.
- No sliding or playing on the jump ramp.
- No finned knee boards/ski boards to be taken over the ramp.
- No riding over the ramp if the surface is dry.
- First user must clear all weed and bird droppings from the ramp surface before jumping.
- Jumping is to be suspended while more than four club boats are actively engaged in skiing circuits from the club take-off zone with return to the club landing zone.
- If a queuing exists, next skier shall be geared up on the dock with boat and crew adjacent and ready to operate.
- If a queuing exists, a "turn" shall be four jumps or deliberate pass-ups, or as many as all affected mutually agree.
- Return pass operation is permitted to jump boats only - in terms of club and Council rules for operation of designated jump area.
- All turns at ends of the "barbell" courses to be right-handed (clockwise turns).
- Keep a boat length clear at the end course video buoy (blue/yellow drum 200m south of slalom course), and its moorings, to avoid fouling the 12 mooring lines.
- If lake level is down, observe in your own interests the navigational marker buoys which mark the shoal in the Southern turn area - travel further south if necessary to make the turn in deep enough water.
- Remember to turn the water off after the last jumper.
MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE (for the Constitution Sect. 9)
- The Management Committee shall make bylaws or policies to cover anything not included above.
- They shall interpret all rules should a dispute arise.
- They shall act as a Court of Appeal in matters arising.
- They shall inflict such penalties as they deem fit, upon any member(s) infringing on these rules.
